Simon Peter King

Simon Peter King is an award-winning filmmaker, musician, composer, and educator who somehow manages to balance cameras, bass lines, and the occasional existential crisis. He has created films for high-profile clients including Sky Arts, Arts Council England, Deliveroo, Ibanez Guitars, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and many more—clients who expect brilliance and sometimes get a little bit of dry humour for free.

As a musician, Simon has released acclaimed work including The Devine King Project, and leads an international team of bass educators as Head of Coaching at Scott’s Bass Lessons. His versatility spans jazz, improvisation, and multi-instrumental projects, making him equally at home on stage, in the studio, or in front of a camera.

Once a Michelin-listed chef and restaurateur, Simon now mostly reserves his improvisational skills for music and film—but don’t leave him a Tripadvisor review!
